Our School Facilities
The school has two dedicated classrooms, and we have transformed half of our vast hall into a lovely learning space as our third classroom. One of the classrooms is in the original school building and the other is a separate structure that was built C1960, we are looking to replace this building soon. We have a large multi-purpose hall which is used for worship, PE, as a dining hall and also a base for our before and after school provision. The main building houses the school library, office, storeroom, toilets, headteacher’s office and kitchen.
There are toilet facilities for the disabled in the hall.
Our stunning new library houses many books includes fiction, non-fiction and poetry and children visit it regularly to hear stories and change books.
We have a large field with football goals and quieter areas under the trees to sit as well as picnic benches. There is always a trolley of equipment for the children to use to enhance their playtimes and outdoor learning and contents are changed regularly. We also have a trim trail and a soft surface area which is great for skipping as well as a front playground which is marked out for netball and is big enough for all the children to use in wet weather.
There is also an extensive fenced wild area with long grass, wild plants and newly planted trees, which can be used for ecological studies and forest school. The children are taught to take pride in caring for their school and its grounds in order to gain an awareness of the importance of caring for the environment in which we live.
